Curricular Resources
At Academy of Dover, we believe that every student deserves access to high-quality instructional materials that are aligned to rigorous academic standards and grounded in research-based practices. Our curriculum is carefully selected to ensure students receive engaging, coherent, and challenging learning experiences that prepare them for future success.
Our instructional programs include:
English Language Arts: Bookworms and EL Education, supported by the Science of Reading and rich, knowledge-building texts.
Mathematics: Eureka Math², which develops deep conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and problem-solving skills.
Science: Amplify Science, complemented by Delaware Department of Education science kits that provide hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences.
Social Studies: Savvas Learning Company resources and the Delaware Recommended Curriculum to build students' understanding of history, civics, geography, and economics.
To ensure every student receives the support they need to succeed, we also utilize evidence-based intervention resources, including i-Ready for personalized instruction in reading and mathematics and UFLI Foundations to provide explicit, systematic phonics instruction for students requiring additional literacy support.
Through the implementation of these high-quality instructional materials, our dedicated educators deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that fosters critical thinking, academic excellence, and a lifelong love of learning.

How can I find out if the Academy is closed, delayed or dismissed early?
In the event of a closure, delay or early dismissal, notifications will be sent to families through ClassDojo. In addition, the Academy will utilize the following communication outlets:

Class Dojo.docxClass DoJo is our primary form of communication. This app allows us to send and receive both group and individual messages with our families. All of our educators and administrators are available for contact using this app. You will receive messages sent Academy-wide, class or grade-wide, and individually. If you have not already connected with us, please do so right away.
Field Trip Chaperone Information
We value and appreciate your interest in serving as a chaperone for our upcoming school events and field trips. To ensure the safety and well-being of all students, the following requirements must be completed and fully approved by the Main Office before participation:
